For more than 65 years, Hughes Decorr, part of Planet Group, has delivered packaging and print solutions for leading retailer and consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands. As the business expanded across multiple divisions, however, that growth created a new challenge: how to connect increasingly complex projects, teams and workflows through a scalable digital infrastructure.
The answer became OneView, powered by Hybrid Brandz’ Artflow.
Connecting complex workflows
Hughes Decorr’s projects span multiple functions, including sales, project management, design, prepress, production and customer service.
With so many teams contributing to the project lifecycle, Hughes Decorr wanted to improve visibility and coordination while reducing manual handoffs and duplicated communication. The company was looking for a more disciplined workflow that could connect the process from the initial customer request through artwork, approvals, production readiness and final execution.
For retailer and CPG customers operating in fast-moving environments, those improvements have a direct impact on the ability to deliver with speed, accuracy and consistency.
Hughes Decorr therefore needed more than another standalone software application. It wanted an integrated project management platform capable of connecting its CRM, design workflows and operational teams while supporting a more seamless customer experience.
After evaluating multiple options, Hughes Decorr selected Hybrid Brandz’ Artflow artwork management software.
Why Artflow?
Artflow provides retailer and CPG organizations with a connected workflow for artwork management, approvals and collaboration, helping create greater visibility and quality control throughout the production lifecycle.
But technology was only one part of Hughes Decorr’s decision.
Hybrid Brandz worked closely with the Hughes Decorr team to understand its existing workflows and operational requirements, adapting and refining the platform to align with real-world processes rather than imposing a rigid, off-the-shelf approach.
Subject matter expertise also played an important role. Joel Winer worked with Hughes Decorr on workflow design, platform configuration and process alignment, helping bridge the gap between software capabilities and day-to-day business requirements. According to the case study, this collaborative approach helped accelerate implementation, improve adoption and configure the platform for long-term operational value.
OneView: creating greater visibility across the project lifecycle
Hughes Decorr deployed Artflow internally as OneView.
The platform has streamlined the way projects are initiated, managed and tracked, providing teams with real-time visibility into project status, task ownership, job progress and approval workflows.
For artwork management specifically, OneView has introduced a more structured and transparent process for submitting, reviewing, approving and tracking creative and production assets. A shared view of project activity gives teams greater accountability while supporting faster decision-making and stronger collaboration.
The case study summarizes the impact well:
“For Hughes Decorr, the value extends far beyond faster administration; the platform delivers greater operational control, enhanced workflow visibility, and stronger execution discipline across the entire project lifecycle.”
Reducing manual processes and accelerating speed-to-market
Centralizing artwork, approvals, project information and workflow steps in one platform has enabled Hughes Decorr to reduce its reliance on manual tracking, fragmented communication and repeated follow-ups.
The connected approach also strengthens quality control and creates a clearer audit trail across the project lifecycle. Combined with Hughes Decorr’s investment in advanced digital print technology, including the Domino platform, the case study says the solution has enhanced speed-to-market by improving cross-team connectivity, streamlining approvals and increasing workflow visibility.
Looking beyond Hughes Decorr
The longer-term vision extends beyond a single business unit.
Planet Group plans to expand OneView, powered by Artflow, across its broader portfolio. The aim is to create a more connected and standardized operating platform with greater consistency across project intake, artwork management, approvals, workflow visibility and customer communication.
Connecting these workflows across subsidiaries is expected to reduce duplicated work, improve collaboration and give leadership greater visibility into project activity and potential bottlenecks. Over time, this digital infrastructure is intended to support faster speed-to-market, improved customer service and a more seamless experience for customers working with multiple Planet Group divisions.
As Eghosa Ogbeifun, General Manager of Business Operations at Planet Group, explains in the case study, OneView is “only the beginning.” Planet Group sees the initiative as part of a broader digital transformation focused on growth, operational visibility and greater automation.
More than software
The Hughes Decorr project demonstrates what can happen when flexible technology is combined with industry expertise and a collaborative implementation approach.
For Hybrid Brandz, the objective wasn’t simply to deploy software. It was to understand Hughes Decorr’s processes, work alongside its teams and create a platform capable of evolving with the wider Planet Group organization.
